Mirror of Nature
This gallery is about water. The sea, ponds, lakes and falls. Water is animate, it circulates and rinses the world clean. It is the blood of the world, circulating through the air and the ground, through our bodies. I read a passage by the author WJT Mitchell in Landscapes and Power where he referred to the reflective quality of water as representation - mirroring the world in reflective ponds and lakes.
